Dear Amazon Family,
We are very excited to announce that Amazon is sponsoring March United for Public Schools and our team, Amazonians United, will be at the October 13 March with thousands of other New Yorkers.
New York is one of the richest cities in the world and yet more than 120,000 public school students were homeless in 2017. One in eight New Yorkers is a student in public school, yet New York state has cut the education budget 4 times since 2010. March United for Public Schools is a celebration of public education and a call to action.
March United is an opportunity for the employees of Amazon to share their good fortune and help public school students in some of the city’s most underserved schools thrive. We want all New York based Amazon employees to join our Amazonians United Team today -- March with us, advocate and raise vitally needed funds for our most vulnerable students.
When: Sunday, October 13, 2019
Where: Borough Hall in Brooklyn
This event will inspire action in support of our schools, our teachers, and our students and rally behind the belief in public education. It’s a fundraising walk, activist experience, and celebration of the talents of our public school students.
The time to take action is now!
Work hard. Have fun. Make history.
